Germaniac aka “Manny” Bay Gelding; foaled Apr 02, 2011; retired from racing into the Turning For Home program with a sesamoid fracture that has healed well after placement with Safe Haven Thoroughbred Rescue. Manny has pinned in ground horsemanship and is a Liberty candidate. Excellent behavior around children.

My Name is Buffalo Billy, aka “Billy,” foaled June 6, 2016; Dark Bay gelding, with an intermittent locking stifle in his right hind leg. He is retired from racing into the Turning For Home program.

Recommended by vet as a pasture pet and would benefit from light exercise. Billy is cooperative, loves attention and is well behaved with children.

Billy is also available for adoption as a companion pasture pet, via Turning for Home contract agreement.

My Dream Ride

When Manny chose me (which he did), he became my “heart horse”. At the time, I had bum knees and he was recovering from a racing injury. A few years later, with encouragement for me, and training for him, I was able to ride him at a walk. It was a dream come true. He is a Liberty candidate now. Riding puts too much strain on his weaker leg.

$250 a month lease

Billy is a Companion Horse

We were given Billy as a companion for Manny. They became close pasture buddies. Billy is simply adorable in every way. From his sensitive eyes to gentleness with children, he was recently found to have a hind leg issue that makes him no longer a riding horse. He loves to wear hay in his mane.
